A job interview was organized on 10.01.2020 with the Aditya Birla Group (Fashion and Retail). Mr. Bhauri Raula, HOD of KSOFT welcomed the recruitment team Md. Amiruddin Hawari, Asst. HR manager, Mr. V.K. Kishore, AVP- Design and Development, Ms. Jhuma Guchhait, Assit.Officer and Ms. Shubhangi Srivastava (get), as well as the ex student of the school, with bouquets. At the end of the session 3 students from 3rd Year got selected

The 3D PRINTING WORKSHOP was conducted by Mr. Chitaranjan Sethi coordinator cum CAD Design Engineer of KIIT from 29.10.2019 to 30.10.2019 at KIIT TBI INCUBATION CENTRE. Under the guidance of Mr. Parthasarathi Bal (Faculty Associate) students from 1st year and 2nd year had participated.

07.02.2017: Mr. Rajat Ranjan the first batch (2009-13) student of our school , interacting with the students.

31.08.2016: Mr. B. Nanda,  Vice President, Mandhan Textile, Mumbai visited our school and delivered a lecture on "Smart Textile". He also interacted with the students and faculty members.

26.08.2016: KIIT School of Fashion Technology organized a seminar on “Textile and Fashion Industry: Today and Tomorrow”. Dr. B. Basu, former G.M., Reliance India Ltd, Mr. N. Mohanty, President, Garment Association, Odisha & Mr. S. Baral, Secretary, Textile Association of India, Odisha Unit attended the Seminar and interacted with the students and faculties. Also present on the occasion were Prof. P. P. Mathur, VC, Prof. Sunil Kr. Sarangi, Rector, Prof. H. Khatua, CEO & Dr. S. P. Mishra, Director, KSOFT.

Visit of GOC members of TAI

Governing Council Meeting of The Textile Association (India) was held at KIIT. Members from Central Committee, Units of Mumbai, Vidarbha, Ahmedabad, Sourastra, South Gujarat, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan & West Bengal visited our School as well as KIIT.  

23.04.2016: Kirti Kalpana 2016, a Fashion Show by renowned models on ramp was organised to showcase design collections by Final Year students of the school.

Seminar on “International Marketing on Fashion Garments" at KIIT

 

An International Seminar on “International Marketing on Fashion Garments” was held on Thursday at School of Fashion Technology, KIIT in association with Indian National Office of Textile Institute, UK. The Seminar was inaugurated by Dr. D.K. Tripathy, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT. Dr. S.P. Mishra, Director, School of Fashion Technology welcomed the guests.

Dr. S. Choudhury, Section Chairman, Indian Office, Textile Institute discussed the scope of fashion in international market. Mr. D. Gianchandani, Hon’ble Secretary spoke on on-line activities of fiber to fashion. Mr. Arun Chattopathay, Chief Executive, Aar Geet Select, Kolkata spoke on fashion business and its advantages and disadvantages. Mr. Alok Ray, Secretary, East India Section, Textile Institute highlighted the scope of fashion garments. Mr. B. Raula, Asso. Professor, School of Fashion Technology, KIIT proposed the vote of thanks.

All the students, staff and faculty of NIFT attended the Seminar. A souvenir was also released on this occasion.
