On May 3, 2024, the KIIT School of Fashion Technology (KSOFT) organized the highly anticipated Graduate Fashion Show, “Kirti Kalpana.” The event featured the final collections of Bachelor of Design (Fashion/Textile) students, highlighting their creativity and innovation.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU, who was joined by several esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. J. R. Mohanty, Registrar; Prof. Himanshu Khatua, Director General of KSFT, KSFMS & KSMC; Prof. S. S. Ray, Director General of KSAP; Prof. Bauri Raula, Dean of KSOFT; and Ms. Gipsita Nayak, Deputy Director.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Singh congratulated the graduating students, their parents, and the entire KSOFT team. He underscored the significance of the design and fashion industry and expressed his delight over the school’s achievements on both national and international platforms.
The fashion show featured an array of collections created by 23 Bachelor of Design (Fashion/Textile) students. Each collection reflected the students’ dedication, skill, and artistic vision. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Best Designer Award to Ms. Priyadarsini Jena for her exceptional collection.
“Kirti Kalpana” not only celebrated the talent of the graduating students but also reinforced KSOFT’s commitment to fostering creativity and excellence in the field of fashion and textile design. The event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees and setting a high standard for future graduates.
