Born & brought up in India and lived in New York for 8 years, Gipsita has been exposed to the experiences of both worlds. She has served as the Sr. Executive Director Show Production – Plitzs Fashion Marketing, NewYork, From Nov 2013 – Feb 2019 Being in the Fashion Industry, as a Designer, Show producer, Stylist & Image Consultant in New York City Gipsita has been working with various professionals from all over the world.
She learnt the skills from one of the best schools in the world, Fashion Institute of Technology, NewYork. Hugo Boss, Greg Lauren, Calvin Klein, Max Mara, Jason Wu, Carolina Herrera, Desigual, Todd Snyder, Zimmerman, Rodebjer, Idan Cohen, Noon by Noor, Bibhu Mahapatra, Pamella Rolland, Oudifu, Georgine, Skingraft, Protagonist, Reem Acra, Fashion for relief by Naomi Campbell, Vivienne Tam, J. Lindberg & Lucio Castro, Calia by Carrie Underwood, Anne Barge, JLM Couture, Naeem Khan, Inbal Dror & Vera Wang are few of the Brands she has worked with as a stylist during the NewYork Fashion Week. Her skills were very much appreciated at the Brands like GAP & Links of London. She is the 1st Odiya Designer to showcase Odisha Handlooms in western formals in PLITZS NewYork City Fashion Week during the NewYork Fashion Week September 2017. She is a Dale Carnegie certified career developer and leader who has helped hundreds of people discover a career that they both enjoy and flourish in. She has coached a few thousand employees in companies like Plitzs Fashion Marketing, Visa, Infosys, Wipro & Capgemini on Image consulting and personal development.

Ms. Biswaranjita Mahapatra is pursuing her Ph. D. in the area of Industrial Engineering and Management in the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Dhanbad, India. She did her B. Tech from College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India in the year 2007. Ms. Mahapatra has served College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar as a Lecturer from July 25, 2007 to July 15, 2011. Ms. Mahapatra is presently holding the position of Sr. Faculty at KIIT, Bhuaneswar. Her main research interest lies in the field of supplier selection, performance measurement, and application of optimization techniques for solving industrial problems. Ms. Mahapatra has published and presented number of papers related to her research interest in national/international journals and conferences. |

Mrs. Itishree Sahoo is a fashion design professional with more than Twenty-three years of experience in Academics, in the field of Apparel designing, surface ornamentation & print development, and accessories Designing. She did her M.sc in Fashion & Apparel design From JD institute of fashion Technology, Mumbai. Before joining in KIIT, she has teaching experience in different government institutes. Like NIFD, IIFD. NIIFD, OIED, FIEO and MSME. She has achieved different awards for creative presentation and innovation in foil painting, drafting and stitching, best women entrepreneur and many others.

Mr. Parthasarathi Bal completed his +2 from BuxiJagabandhuBidyadhar Junior college. He got his Bachelor of Design (Fashion) Degree from KIIT School of Fashion Technology, KIIT University one of the renowned institutes of India. He has completed his master’s in design from Choudhary Charan Sing University, Meerut. Mr. Bal has done his internship under famous retail companies like Reliance & Pantaloon. He worked as a Fresher in “Christian Heritage” south ext., New Delhi having 1-year Experience. He also conducted many creative workshops on appliqué, face painting, clay modeling & Portfolio in many institutes. With 8 years of Teaching experience presently he was holding the position of Faculty Associate in KIIT, Bhubaneswar.

Mr. Laxman Sorenhas done his Advance Diploma in Fashion Design from IIFT. And a Arts Graduate from Ranchi University. MSc. Fashion Design and Management from TGOU Nagaland. Having good experience in pattern making, Draping& Grading.Taken training from Prof. Arvind K. Zarapkar a renowned international pattern designer of Mumbai, 10 yrs of teaching experience as a fashion design faculty in different fashion institutions.He conducts the different modules, like corset making, gown making, garment design development, creative pattern making module, grading module, advance draping module.worked with Fashion designers. He trained NGO group of teachers for pattern making and garment finishing. He has a experience of CAD (Lectra) and 3D Clo.

Mr. RajakishorMoharana is a professional contemporary and traditional artist with more than ten years of experience Academics in the field of Fashion and Textile Illustration and design. He did his graduation in bachelor’s in fine art (5 Years) From Utkal University, Odisha. He was certified as Patachitra expert by Govt. of India Ministry of Textile. He completed his course in Block Printing from weaver’s center, Bhubaneswar, under Ministry of Textile. He received many national and international awards for best Traditional Artist from Sanskar Bharati Bhopal, S.C.Z.C.C Nagpur. He received the International award for mask painting from Chitrakar University, Punjab. He attended different level of national and state level camps workshops for Artists and designers. Before joining KIIT he worked as a Vocational Teacher (Traditional Painting) at Kendriya Vidyalaya, RBNMP, Midinapore, and West Bengal. |

Ms. Vaishali Sethi

Ms. Vaishali Sethi, is currently pursuing PhD in the area of Fashion Designing. She has completed M.A. in Sociology from Global University and Bachelor in Fashion Designing from National Institute of Fashion Designing, Utkal University of Culture in Bhubaneshwar. Earlier, Vaishali has completed graduation from Jesus and Mary College, from University of Delhi. She has done her internship under the Designer Pratima Pandey; label “Prama” from New Delhi. She has been involved with various fashion events in Delhi and Bhubaneswar and also voluntarily designs for children from SOS village, Bhubaneshwar. Ms. Vaishali Sethi has also served as lecturer in the National Institution of Fashion Designing Utkal University of Culture and College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar. Ms. Monalisa Das

Ms. Monalisa Das is continuing her Ph.D. degree in UUC. She completed her Diploma in Garment Technology from Women’s Polytechnic, Dhenakanal. She pursued her B.Design degree in National Institute of Fashion Design, Bhubaneswar, affiliated with Utkal university of culture and received the University’s Gold Medal in, thereby achieving obtained a first-class bachelor’s degree in fashion design. She then pursued her master’s degree in textile design at Utkal University of Culture and received the University’s Gold Medal for graduating with first class and best academic degree in the university. She has more than 15 years of experience in the industrial and teaching sector. She worked as a merchandiser from product development to production in the various export house and handled with different U.S and European buyer such as A&F, Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle Out fitters Inc, (AEO), Land’s End, Target, Bonton, Kohl’s, Catherine Stores, Walmart, J.jill, Cold Water Creek and Club Monaco, etc. Additionally, she has academic experience at BIFT (Bhubaneswar Institute of Fashion Technology), ITT (Institute of Textile Technology) and Apparel Training and Design Center (ATDC), Ministry of Textiles, Cuttack. Thereafter, she worked as Professional Designer (Handicrafts), O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts)M & SEC, Bhubaneswar; she worked there to help artisans to create new Designs in various craft.

Mrs. Laxmi Thapa has done her +2 from St. Mary’s College Shillong and her Graduation in Bachelor of Science (Apparel and Fashion Design) from Sikkim Manipal University. Also, she has assisted James Ferreira (fashion designer) in a fashion show held in Shillong. Mrs. Laxmi Thapa has also been an entrepreneur. Currently, she is working in KIIT University as an Instructor – Design Lab and she has completed her Masterand preparing for NET as the first step to a milestone to achieve her Dreams.

Padma Charan Majhi

Padma Charan Majhi, Textile Designer a graduate in Textile Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata and done post graduate in Journalism & Mass Communication. Currently he is an Assistant professor in School of Fashion Technology, KIIT University. His areas of teaching are Elements of Design, Design Process, Elements & Textile Design Techniques, Print Design, Woven Design, CAD for print and Handloom & Craft Design.
He served NIFT as an assistant professor for almost 10yrs and SIDAC, Govt. of Odisha for 1.5yrs as a course coordinator cum Designer. Worked in industry as a designer for Mahajan Overseas, Panipath and its co-brand ‘Maspar’ a high-end Home fashion category for domestic and international. Also, worked as designer for 1year in SADHAC, Govt. of Odisha.
