Styling is a subject taught in the 7th Semester in the BFD program in KIIT School of Fashion Technology.
On 26th of Aug 2022 a Study tour was organised by the School of Fashion Technology. In the ICONIC store students had an exciting on location styling practical session led by Dy. Director Ms. Gipsita Nayak, who has intensive knowledge in the field from the Fashion Capital of the world NewYork City.
Their mentors Mr. Rajakishore Moharana & Ms. Laxmi Thapa also accompanied them.
Fashion stylists work for various clothing brands, fashion houses, with celebrities etc, their main responsibilities are to give appropriate fashion advice such as what combinations to wear, which accessories can be paired etc or coordinating outfits for models in photoshoots etc according to current trends. They can specialize in red carpet, runway, personal, photographic, e-commerce, product, still life, film or television industry etc.
