We are delighted to announce a proud moment for KIIT School of Fashion Technology! Our very own Debasmita Rath, a third-semester student, has achieved remarkable success by winning the gold medal in the senior category (69 kg weight class) at the National Powerlifting Championship. The event was held in Sonipat, Haryana, from September 13th to 16th, 2024.
Competing against approximately 500-600 participants, Debasmita’s outstanding performance has brought immense pride to our institution. Her dedication and hard work have culminated in an impressive victory.
Debasmita’s Achievements:
Gold Medal – Overall Weight: 350 kg
Squat: 142.5 kg
Bench Press: 57.5 kg
Deadlift: 150 kg
