Students from the Batches of 2021 and 2022 had the remarkable opportunity to participate in an in-depth workshop at the Weaver’s Service Centre. This immersive experience was aimed at enhancing their practical knowledge and understanding of weaving and printing techniques. During the workshop, students were exposed to a wealth of information regarding various facets of textile production.
The Weaver’s Service Centre provided comprehensive insights into the significance of yarn count, explaining its calculation and its crucial role in the weaving process. Students explored the different types of weaves and their applications, gaining a thorough understanding of various weaving patterns.
